Welcome – My story

Hello, and welcome! This blog will be the story of how I get out of a massive amount of debt – $51,000 in credit card debt, along with another $23,000 in student loans. YIKES! No worries – we’ll get there. This is also a bit of therapy for me, as I have just left my Mary Kay business after 3 1/2 years. I am currently following Dave Ramsey’s Total Money makeover – our baby emergency fund is at $450, and I am applying for a second job all over town. I am also applying for a new primary job that would be a big increase in salary. So, these are all the things that will be getting updated as we go along! If  I can figure out how, I’ll be adding tracking bars to track our progress on certain things.

I also really enjoy cake decorating, DIY projects, soap making, and reading, so don’t be surprised if random posts about that pop up too!
