I’m home!

I’m home from vacation….and it’s nice to be home. Really. I swear. But I really miss the sunshine. Do you know they have freeway signs that say “beaches” in california? That pretty much rocks. Also, they have beaches. With sunshine.

We’re supposed to get 6-10″ of snow over the next two days, which i guess is my welcome home present from karma, from all the people who didn’t get to go on vacation. It will be ok, though – March in Ohio usually means giant snowstorms, followed by sixty degree days where all the snow melts, followed by more snow…rinse and repeat.

I had a fantastic time on vacation though, and loved spending all that time with my friend, who was sweet enough to totally screw up her schedule to spend as much time as possible with me. We went to beaches (with sunshine! in case you didn’t get that before) in La Jolla, Dog Beach, Ocean Beach, and Pacific Beach.  Shopping at cute shops, lunch in cute cafes, pedicures while looking at the ocean, dinner on Coronado island…..it was fantastic. Lots and lots of relaxing, not too busy….a great vacation. And can’t wait to go back.

I’m so bummed that Ohio didn’t go to Obama….Ohio never goes to my candidate. And I’m so disappointed in Hillary’s behavior as of late…the Dems won’t take back the white house by tearing each other down. It is a delicate balance at this point, but i think Hillary has charged over the line and never looked back, essentially saying she’d rather have McCain as the president than Obama as the Dem Nominee…which is total bullshit. Especially from a woman who, come convention time, damn well better be supporting Obama. Ok – Rant Over.
